Rise Against STIGMA & SUICIDE

“Rise Against STIGMA & SUICIDE” is a new project at By Chaney’s Hands, a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer public charity. “Rise Against STIGMA & SUICIDE” is part of a larger project we intend to begin sometime next year. The basic premise harkens back to the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. It is, in simple terms, a compilation album… but it is organic, and will constantly grow provided artists continue to send material to the project.

The types of themes and subjects we are looking to cover throughout this organic compilation are:

  • Mental Illness
  • Depression/Darkness
  • Self-harm
  • Suicide
  • Stigma
  • Emotion
  • Loss
  • Overcoming any of the above
  • Happiness
  • Self-love/Self-Acceptance
  • Unity of all people (promotes a message against discrimination of any kind)

The types of material we are collecting are:

  • Studio Audio
    • Spoken word and poetry
    • Music (any style)
    • Stories
    • All of the above formats can also be submitted as video
  • Artwork (can either be scanned or physically mailed to us if you want us to have the original)
    • Any form of mixed media art
    • Photography
  • Written (we will look for someone to record narration)
    • Spoken Word and Poetry
    • Stories
    • Letters

You should own all rights to anything that you send to us. Submission of material gives us permission to post said material on our site as an incentive to drive donations, as well as your acknowledgement of ownership of said submission. If you are a small, unknown band with a studio demo this could be a good break for you. If you are a professional recording artist of any kind, it may help us considerably to have you backing us in this way.

If you are an artist and want to join the fight against STIGMA and SUICIDE please email us at infobychaneyshands.org or use our “Get in Touch” form. If you know any artists please share this page with them on your social media feeds.

This is our way of getting artists involved in our fight against mental illness, stigma, and suicide.

If you can contribute, please consider doing so.
